Registering your business

How you register depends on how you set up. If you work for yourself as a sole trader, you register with HMRC. If you set up a limited company, you register it with Companies House. GOV.UK explains both.

Business rates

In Northern Ireland, rate bills for both homes and businesses are issued and collected by Land & Property Services (LPS). nidirect explains how rate bills are calculated.

nidirect

nidirect is the official government website for Northern Ireland citizens, and a good starting point for official information.
